Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

ZED Industrial Automation SRL ("ZEDlog"), registered at Ciocanesti 20, bloc D, ap 47, București, România, is the data controller for personal data collected through the website zedlog.ro. We process your data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable Romanian law.

1. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of data:

  • Contact data — name, email address, phone number — provided voluntarily via the contact form.
  • Newsletter subscription data — first name, last name, email address, phone number (optional) — provided voluntarily via the newsletter signup form at /newsletter.
  • Browsing data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, session duration — collected automatically via analytics cookies (with your consent).
  • Message content — the text of messages sent through the contact form.

We do not collect sensitive data (Art. 9 GDPR): health data, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, etc.

2. Legal Basis for Processing

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — for analytics and marketing cookies, granted via our cookie consent banner.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — for sending marketing communications by email and, if you provide a phone number and check the separate consent box, by SMS. Consent is given explicitly, separately per channel, via the newsletter signup form, and can be withdrawn at any time.
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — for website security and fraud prevention.
  • Performance of a contract / pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — when you contact us regarding a project or quotation.

3. Data Retention

  • Contact data — 3 years from the last contact, unless there is an ongoing contractual relationship.
  • Newsletter subscriber data — until consent is withdrawn (unsubscribe) or a maximum of 3 years from the last interaction with our communications, absent an explicit unsubscribe.
  • Analytics data — subject to Google Analytics policy (default 14-month user-data retention).
  • Security logs — maximum 90 days.

4. Data Recipients

We do not sell your personal data. We may transfer data to:

  • Google LLC (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager) — EU/US transfer based on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) approved by the European Commission.
  • S.C The Marketer International Srl ("theMarketer") — a Romanian email and SMS marketing platform used to manage newsletter subscriptions. Data is stored in Romania/the European Union; theMarketer acts as a data processor under Art. 28 GDPR, under a Data Processing Agreement (DPA).
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers — located in the European Union.

For transfers outside the EEA, we ensure adequate safeguards are in place pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR.

5. Your Rights

Under GDPR (Art. 15–22), you have the following rights:

6. Cookies

7. Data Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, disclosure, accidental modification or destruction: HTTPS connection, restricted system access, periodic security audits.
